"in state (resident)" Tuition???? Financial aid????

A federal law passed in 1996 said states could not provide "a postsecondary education benefit to an alien not lawfully present unless any citizen or national is eligible for such benefit." Somehow the Obama justice has the time to file suit against Arizona for in effect enforcing federal law. but they have not the time to see that Federal laws regarding immigration are enforced?

NEWSFLASH: Next will be "Small Business" incentives and Help for Drug Cartel leaders. (sic)

SHEESH.....GIVE THEM BACK TO MEXICO.

Tax cuts

Jobs and tax hikes:
i'm sorry but extending tax hikes (for the middle class or the rich) are useless for everyone as they only affect working people. A large amount of people are unemployed and will not be helped either way. i believe a better solution would be extending the tax rates as they are AND a direct tax credit to any employer (large or small) who hires a NEW employee and keeps them employed for one calender year.
This will:

1. increase employment; (obviously as an incentive to hire)

2. more people will pay taxes ie: fica, income, and all the rest

3. increase US production;

4. reduce unemployment benefits payed out;

5. stimulate the economy with more people working and buying goods and services;

7. and the best part is the tax credits will pay for themselves by any new employee kept on the payroll for at least one year will (should) pay more into the system than the tax credits cost.

The big picture.....

It appears we are on the cusp of a change in government. At least that seems to be the consensus at Fox news. Now before the 2 or 3 Liberals whom sometime read my stuff start screaming it appears that the liberal media also seem to acknowledge this though they are doing their best to downplay it.
Now it seems a "done deal" that the Republicans will take a majority in the house. The Senate...maybe not. What will happen next will be .....nothing or very little at best. the one hing to be sure is that Nancy pelosi will berelegated to the trashpile of history. Speaking of which I happen to remember an interview with Nancy in 2006 when Democrats were attempting to take Congress from the Republicans where she was quoted as saying "Our system of Government has been built on a system of checks nd balances. The most dangerous thing imaginable would be one party in charge of all branches of government". Seems she conveniently forgot that in 2007. Anyway what will happen now will be Republican proposals and the Swoosh of Obama's veto pen. Sure Obama will be making conciliatory noises about bipartisanship and cooperation but in reality he is far too arrogant and agenda driven to make this course of action believable. Now for the next two years the two parties will spend their time bickering and not really accomplishing anything. This election is really about 2012 where each will blame the other for the continuing decline of this country.

* At this second I'm listening to the talking head on MSNBC throw Rahm Emmanuel on the funeral pyre as in to blame for the obama administration's failures.

Where's the outrage E.J. Montini?

I live in Scottsdale, Arizona. One week ago today there was a hate crime committed here. Late Monday night/Tuesday morning my friend went to the Circle K on 68th and Avalon for a soda. He rode up on his bicycle and heard a commotion from down the street and saw approximately 50 people involved in a fight in the middle of 68th street. On a closer look he realized that there were about 25 people administering a beating to one man while the rest of the crowd encouraged them. My friend ran in the store and told the clerk to call 911. At about that time the man broke away from the crowd and ran to the store. The crowd caught him in the parking lot and continued the beating. Eventually the police showed up and arrested 20 "suspects". The victim went to the hospital. The next day there was literally no mention of this incident in either the newspapers (your own included Mr Montini) or the TV news. E.J. you shout about the victims of injustices as you perceive them...Where Sir is your outrage? The marches? The protests? Inconvenient perhaps?
Did I forget to mention that the victim was white? Or that all the suspects were Hispanic?
I suggest you consider what your actions would be if the situation had been reversed. I submit that your outrage would know no limits.
